In a nutshell

FP&A Manager will be a finance person dedicated to support IPFD markets in budgeting and forecasting processes as well target delivery. This person will be responsible for managing financial modelling and analysis of strategic investments including any new business cases, analysis and ad hoc finance due diligence. FP&A Manager should guide local teams and Country Managers, how to run the business in the most effective way, and what need to happen to deliver the budgeted targets.

In the essence FP&A Manger is a finance leader that is able to:

  • drive the discussion with key stakeholders (Cuntry Managers, local anaysts, SMT) about company’s performance;
  • recommend changes in the business;
  • guide markets how to adjust the business, how to improve effectiveness;
  • run the entire budget process and control the level of its realisation;

Your daily tasks:

  • Coordinate and run the budgeting process. Support key stakeholders during budgeting periods. Ensure that all key stakeholders (Country Managers, SMT) are properly informed and have access to the required data and analysis to make business decisions.
  • Coordinate and run the rolling forecast process. Support key stakeholders during rolling forecast periods. Ensure that all key stakeholders (Country Managers, SMT) are properly informed and have access to the required data and analysis to make business decisions.
  • Provide a robust challenge to the output with the aim of improving the quality of budgeting across IPF Digital.
  • Manage forecasting and scenario testing as part of the budget process.
  • Build and/or maintain financial models and develop them to forecast all business activities necessary to deliver the budget: revenue and impairment, sales and marketing, operational effectiveness, proper level of investment, and costs
  • Leads the implementation of future changes to the forecasting models and the budget and forecast processes.
  • Initiate and run the discussion about the market’s performance. Be a proactive finance business partner to all stakeholders and propose changes to ensure delivery of the targets. Provide recommendations and drive changes across IPFD markets.
  • Be the key person from the finance team that supports and runs the delivery of forecasts and budgets for new market entries.
  • Drive the discussion about the results during monthly reviews with key stakeholders. Interpret the financial results. Provide variance analysis and guide key stakeholders on how to adjust operations to improve the current performance or make it more efficient.
  • Support the Head of Commercial Finance and the CFO with the delivery of key projects in the finance department.

 

So, what skills, knowledge and experience do you have?

Skills

  • Ability to analyse and interpret information in order to provide recommendations
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Excellent financial modelling skills, being able to design new reports from scratch.
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent MS Excel skills (VBA skills would be of additional benefit)
  • Fluent in verbal and written business English (essential)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and spoken) skills and the ability to articulate thoughts and solutions in a logical manner, with the ability to build relationships within the business and the broader international group, as well as deal with a wide range of audiences both internally and externally requiring
  • Ability to prepare reports and recommendations
  • Flexible approach, to ensure deadlines are met and overseas support is delivered as required
  • Positive mind set – ‘can-do attitude’
  • Able to influence others

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of financial modelling methodologies
  • Strong demonstrable numeracy skills at appropriate level

Experience

  • Experience of communicating at all levels
  • Experience of FP&A in a financial services environment
  • Worked within digital financial services (Desirable)

Qualifications

  •  Recognised accounting qualification ACA / CIMA / ACCA
  • Educated to Degree level in accounting/ finance, economics, or management subject

Others

  • The ability to travel internationally as required for business meetings
