The Role

We are looking for a positive, dynamic, and people-focused Fundings Team Lead to manage and inspire a team of 13 specialists. This team is responsible for setting up and requesting funding, a critical task that requires accuracy, consistency, and motivation. The Team Lead will play a key role in driving team engagement, maintaining high performance, and delivering operational excellence in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of 13 Funding Specialists, fostering a positive and high-energy team culture.
  • Communicate operational and technical changes clearly, quickly, and effectively to ensure the team is always aligned with current processes and tools.
  • Monitor team performance through data analysis, identifying trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Champion continuous improvement by recommending and implementing process enhancements to boost efficiency and accuracy.
  • Deliver regular performance updates, insights, and reports to senior management.
  • Support the personal development of team members through regular 1:1s, feedback, and growth opportunities.
  • Act as a point of contact for escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless end-to-end funding processes.

About You

  • Proven experience leading a team in an operational or administrative environment.
  • Exceptionally positive, approachable, and motivating — you know how to keep spirits high, even during repetitive work.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey changes and information in a clear, engaging, and timely manner.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and drive process improvements.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-changing environment with a proactive and adaptable attitude.
  • A true team player who builds trust and relationships with ease.

  • Desirable: SQL skills and familiarity with Metabase or similar data tools.

Salary Range: £47,000 + up to 5% quarterly bonus.
