Head of Banking Systems

The Role

The Head of Banking Systems will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of all banking systems within Renmoney. You will ensure that these systems support the bank’s operational needs and regulatory compliance while driving efficiency and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the banking systems team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
• Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for banking systems that aligns with organizational goals and objectives.
• Oversee the selection, deployment, and maintenance of core banking systems, ensuring they are effective, efficient, and meet all regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments, including IT, operations, and compliance, to create integrated banking solutions.
• Monitor the performance of banking systems and implement improvements as needed.
• Ensure the banking systems infrastructure is robust, secure, and scalable to support business growth.
• Manage budgeting and resource allocation for banking systems projects.
• Stay abreast of emerging banking technologies and trends to inform future system upgrades and innovations.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the integrity, security, and resilience of all banking systems.
• Facilitate regular training sessions for staff on banking systems and related processes.
• Provide regular reports to senior management on system performance, risk assessments, and opportunities for improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in banking systems management or related IT roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Strong knowledge of core banking systems and financial technology.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale IT projects.
• Experience with regulatory compliance in the banking sector.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
