Job Summary:
The Junior Accounting & Tax staff will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the Indonesian entity, including transaction recording, financial reporting assistance, and tax compliance support. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who is beginning their career in accounting and taxation, and is eager to grow their technical and regulatory knowledge within a fast-paced corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Monthly Financial Closing Activities: Assist in the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial schedules for monthly closing.
- Record Daily Financial Transactions: Enter accurate and timely financial data into the accounting system, ensuring completeness and compliance.
- Assist in Financial Statement Preparation: Contribute to the compilation of internal financial reports and summaries under supervision.
- Support Tax Compliance Activities
- Assist in preparing data for monthly VAT (PPN) and withholding tax (PPh 21, 23, 4(2)) reports.
- Coordinate e-filing and monitor tax payment schedules.
- Maintain updated tax files and documentation.
- Follow Internal Financial Controls: Adhere to financial policies and internal control procedures during all accounting and tax processes.
- Assist in Variance Analysis: Provide basic assistance in identifying discrepancies between budgeted and actual figures through document review.
- Audit and Review Support: Organize and prepare supporting documentation for internal or external audits and tax reviews.
- Monitor Cash Transactions: Track and record daily cash and bank movements, ensuring accuracy in reconciliation.
- Vendor & Client Account Support: Input and reconcile accounts payable/receivable transactions and assist in resolving discrepancies.
- Expense Tracking: Collect, organize, and review employee expense reports in line with company policy.
- Bachelorโs Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (fresh graduates are welcome).
- Basic knowledge of Indonesian taxation (VAT, PPh 21, 23, etc.) is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Jurnal, Accurate, or equivalent).
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a structured and fast-paced working environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling financial data.
