Your contribution will be vital in ensuring our security practices are scalable, compliant, and well-communicated, while supporting best practices in IT security awareness, supplier due diligence, and audit readiness. You will lead compliance initiatives, support internal and external audits, and work across teams to promote a culture of security and risk awareness.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Information Security Compliance Specialist who is passionate about building strong foundations in IT governance and communication within a fast-paced fintech environment.

This role reports to the Senior Security Compliance and Risk Lead based in Melbourne, Australia, and is focused on driving compliance initiatives, managing supplier risk assessments, and implementing IT security standards across the business. You will play a key role in enhancing audit readiness, security awareness, and process alignment while collaborating across global teams in a high-performing and supportive environment.

As an Information Security Compliance and Awareness Specialist, you will:

• Ensure Compliance – Support internal and external audits, drive documentation readiness, manage evidence collection, and help track resolution of gaps in IT controls.
• Lead Supplier Due Diligence – Conduct initial and periodic third-party security reviews and re-assessments based on supplier risk levels.
• Promote Awareness – Organize awareness webinars, phishing simulations, and security training in collaboration with Learning & Development.
• Drive Policy Implementation – Support the implementation of IT security policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.
• Collaborate – Work with IT, security, and compliance teams to ensure smooth adoption of security practices.
• Document & Communicate – Maintain accurate registers, reports, and communications to ensure visibility and accountability.

About You:

• 5+ years of experience in IT security or a related compliance-focused role.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and familiarity with frameworks like SOC 2, DORA, or CSA CCM is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey security requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience supporting audits and rolling out security policies or awareness programs.
• High attention to detail, self-discipline, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Certifications like CISA, CISSP, or CISM would be highly regarded.
