We are seeking a talented and experienced PR professional to join our team in Tokyo. As the Senior PR Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic public relations campaigns to enhance our company's reputation and promote our brand globally. You will build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, influencers, and key stakeholders to position OSL as the leading secured and trusted digital assets exchange in Japan and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement PR strategies tailored to the Japanese market, focusing on brand reputation, awareness, and thought leadership.
  • Create compelling messaging and content for press releases, media kits, and other PR materials to effectively communicate the company’s mission, values, and projects to target audiences in Japan.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers within the Japanese financial sector.
  • Proactively pitch story ideas and secure media placements in relevant Japanese publications, podcasts, and other media channels.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage and social media trends in Japan to measure the effectiveness of PR campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Manage crisis communications and handle media inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices in PR and communications in Japan to ensure innovative and effective strategies.

  • Proven work experience of at least 7+ years in PR, communications, or media relations, with a minimum of 3 years in an agency setting. Experience with global scope and extensive contacts in financial-related media is preferred.
  • Prior experience in Fintech, Payments, or Financial Services is required. Proficiency in Japanese is essential for communicating with stakeholders in Japan.
  • Deep understanding of the industry, including trends, challenges, and opportunities, to effectively develop and execute PR campaigns.
  • Strong written (in Japanese and English) and verbal communication skills to craft compelling messages, press releases, and other PR materials that effectively convey the organization’s key messages.
  • Ability to handle crises effectively, quickly assess and respond to reputational issues, manage media inquiries, and develop crisis communication plans to mitigate potential damage to the organization’s image.
  • Adaptability and resilience in the face of changing trends, technologies, and media landscapes.
  • Ability to embrace new platforms and communication channels to effectively reach and engage target audiences in Japan.
