- Report to the Head of the Legal Department or Senior Counsel as a key member of our regulatory and licensing team.
- Handle global legal issues related to commercial work (e.g., contracts, product, IP) and ongoing licensing and financial regulatory matters.
- Manage ongoing commercial contracts, including sponsorships, advertising, procurement, MOUs, NDAs, token listings, terms and conditions, brokerage, licensing, and custody agreements.
- Support disputes (litigation/arbitration) and employment work as needed, without requiring prior specialization in these areas.
- Address commercial contract risks within the company, proposing measures to mitigate and reduce such risks.
- Represent the company in negotiations with commercial parties where appropriate.
- Oversee the management of external law firms, including engagement, work review, fee approval, and ongoing matter management to ensure optimal results.
- Provide robust, commercially sensible, accurate, and practical legal advice to internal stakeholders, managing expectations throughout the lifespan of matters.
- Qualified lawyer with 2-7 years of post-qualification legal experience in a reputable law firm and/or in-house organization.
- Law degree from a recognized university.
- Proven ability to manage commercial contract matters from beginning to end.
- Preferred start-up experience with a track record in handling complex legal matters in fast-paced environments.
- Knowledge of crypto products, regulations, and transactions is advantageous.
- Strong independent working capabilities, common sense judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent legal drafting and interpretation skills.
- Proficiency in English and business-level Mandarin Chinese is mandatory.
