Responsibilities (DOES)

  • Understand customer needs by working closely with stakeholders to clarify business context, objectives and requirements

  • Design solutions by

    • Elaborating customer experience, process flows, and business rules

    • Assessing high-level impact of requirements to products, processes and systems

    • Translating requirements into functional and technical design specifications

    • Ensuring solutions adhere to industry standards, security protocols, regulatory and internal enabling team requirements

  • Collaborate with Product Owners in enriching requirements with industry and business readiness perspective, and prioritizing features by presenting tradeoffs and risks

  • Work with the rest of the technical team to validate the solution

    • Instill solution-requirement traceability and address technical constraints and limitations, working with the Solution Architects and Delivery Engineers

    • Provide inputs to test analysis of Quality Assurance especially for edge cases, high risk and/or complex scenarios

  • Lead/participate in functional and technical assessments (e.g. RFP functional compliance evaluation) and design reviews to ensure that the solution is meeting its objectives as it progresses from concept to specification, design, development and launch.

  • Author, update and maintain the accuracy and usability of product solution documents and artifacts

  • Act as the subject matter expert for assigned products and services and related industry/field

  • Author and/or contribute to solution design principles and standards and ensure compliance

  • Lead and/or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

  • Lead/participate in solutions design guild activities

  • Business Acumen. Has an understanding of the business and awareness of the specific industry to design solutions for the unique needs of the customer sector.

  • Problem Solving Skills. Analyzes pain points, problems and challenges and crafts solutions to address them

  • Technical Expertise. Knows and understands system/platform logical components and capabilities, system interactions and flows and underlying system architecture

  • Communication skills. Able to clearly convey in simple terms technical concepts and jargon

  • Project Management. Manages deliverables to be within committed timeline, and target quality levels
