Problem Analyst-Engineer Job Description / Responsible for the following:
Participate in incident restoration as next level support to help identify, detect and provide solutions or workarounds to ongoing Production issues
Thorough analysis of data, artifacts and evidences gathered to be able to identify root cause and to provide recommendations in relation to incidents and problem assigned
Timely submission of root cause analysis (RCA) documentation, following the set template and turnaround times
Closely coordinate with Service Level Manager (SLM) on the proper transition/handover of recommended permanent fixes
Work closely with other groups or teams for alignment and/or consultation on potential workaround and/or solution identified
Problem Analyst-Engineer Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications
Minimum 5 years experience in a IT field
At least 3 years experience in software engineering/development,
At least 1 year experience in IT Service Management, preferably the last stint was in ITSM
Experience in Incident and Problem Management
Technical understanding with ability to translate into business concepts
Must come from a technical background with the ability to read and write source code across multiple languages
Collegiate foundation in Computer Science or Engineering, with competencies in cloud technology, architecture, data structures, software design, and DevOps practices.
Experience with software engineering through the delivery of APIs and web services (ie, REST, SOAP/WSDL) utilizing at least 7 of the following languages/technologies: Java, MySQL, Apache, NGinx, HaProxy, Javascript, JQuery, HTML5, CSS3, SES, SMTP, Cron, Apache Spark, Hadoop, PHP, and source code version control – Git
Experience in cloud technologies and architecture, minimum Amazon Web Service, advantageously: Alicloud and others such as Azure, etc.
Exposure/basic knowledge with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery methodologies including practical knowledge on build tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Ant, Liquibase
Exposure/basic knowledge in DevOps practices and tools such as Docker and automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications with Kubernetes would be advantageous
Exposure/basic knowledge in System administration and development in Unix and Linux based environments.
Familiar with basic financial terminology and accounting concepts
Advantageous Qualifications
ITIL Foundation certification
Six Sigma certification (Green Belt and above; Black Belt is preferred)
Experience in Lean Methodology
