Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Engagement: Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, develop, and implement the company’s national agenda.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Build and nurture partnerships with key stakeholders, including regulators, legislators, and other public and private entities to further the company’s goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Present findings to clients and interact with them to understand their requirements better.
  • Policy Advocacy: Proactively engage with regulatory and legislative bodies on public policy discussions, advocating for policies that support financial inclusion and digitalization initiatives.
  • Program Development: Drive initiatives that align with the company's mission to promote economic, social, and environmental outcomes through effective advocacy.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior leaders and team members to refine research methodologies and approaches tailored to stakeholders needs.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Stay informed on relevant legislation and regulatory changes, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Representation: Represent the company at industry conferences, public forums, and meetings with government officials, effectively communicating the company's positions and priorities.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct qualitative research to analyze current public policy issues and synthesize findings into actionable insights.
  • Client Deliverables: Develop and draft reports, presentations, and memos that communicate findings clearly to internal and external stakeholders .
  • Project Management: Manage multiple client accounts, ensuring timely delivery of all project work while adhering to deadlines.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on industry and policy-specific news to incorporate relevant trends into research efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or related fields, ideally within the financial services sector.
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining relationships with government entities and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and public policy issues affecting the financial industry and digital services.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in strategic planning and executing advocacy campaigns is highly desirable.
  • Should possess a keen interest in government affairs and public policy issues, demonstrating an ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
